It's Friday! And even though it's my boy's weekend and he is on his way to a training seminar in an old, green cop car, I'm feeling pretty good. :)

Maybe it's because the sun is FINALLY out...

 {Me...}

So, because it's Friday... and I'm feeling pretty good... here's a list of a few of my favorite things----


*Adam and I's cozy apartment (still not ready for pics btw...). I just love the way it feels when both of us are home together. :)

*My little, purple computer. Thanks, Mom and Dad!


*All of my owls. They are all unique and have such personality!


*My sewing machine. Very loved, but not used enough... *sigh*

*Our shower curtain. It's the cutest thing!

*Netflix. (I told you I would be addicted...)

*Grande Double Chocolatey-Chip Frappacinos from Starbucks. Yum!!!


*The color purple.


*Vintage fabrics. They are just so pretty. :)


*Fiestaware!

A few quick things...

Here are just a few quick things I wanted to share with you--

#1- I worked Wednesday-Sunday + went to school... this explains a few things, like why I didn't blog this weekend and why our apartment looks the way it does.

#2- I have Midterms and projects this week. (See #1)

#3- I can't find my kitchen counter... (See #1)

#4- I am SO SUPER PROUD of my little brother Joel!!!!! He is a State Champion now! And he has a pretty cool dunk video... check out my parent's blogs--- Mom and Dad.

#5- I am also VERY VERY PROUD of my boy!!!! He is now a Reserve Officer in training. He had his first class last night... which I was late to pick him up for, so he had to call his sister.... my bad...

Just a few things that were on my mind. :)

I'm off to study for a Midterm...

I am trapped in a room with fifteen 5th and 6th graders.

If you don't hear from me for awhile... that's why...

I started a Netflix marathon and forgot that there was ever a thing called blogger or life outside of my apartment... or off of my couch for that matter...

Wait for it....

Sorry, I haven't been as faithful with the blog posts this week.

My bad!

Since it's been a while I thought I would catch you up with what's been going on around here---

Yeah, not a whole lot has been going on...

I mean there was some work, some school, and some grocery shopping in there... but that's about it.

Sorry, I'm kind of boring this week.

Food // Dinner Tonight

So for some reason I have been bad about fixing dinner this past week. :( I'm not sure why, but I was just not in the mood to do any cooking... 

It may have been because I couldn't find my kitchen sink because of the dirty dishes.

So, this week I am bound and determined that we will NOT be eating out! 

Right after I have lunch out with my mom today....

So, here's what is on the menu for tonight-

• Ravioli
• French Bread
• Italian Salad

Doesn't that sound yummy? 

Now all I have to do is go get some groceries, because if I don't the menu for tonight is going to look a little something like this-

• Chocolate Ice Cream
• Saltines
• Grapes

Anyone want to come over for dinner?

Nana and Papaw's



I just think this picture is so great. I can remember when it was just me, Levi, and Kye hanging out at Nana and Papaw's, and now look how big we are!

Here are some of the things I think of when I hear, "Nana and Papaw's House"-

1. Smooshed peanutbutter and jelly sandwhiches. Papaw's specialty.

2. Getting my face washed with the same cold, wet washcloth that had just washed my two brother's and my cousin's face...

3. Playing out under the huge pinetrees that Papaw planted back when my dad was a kid. Did you know that my dad has jumped every single one of those trees?

4. Getting my picture taken... a lot. I didn't mind. ;)

5. Watching Richard Simmon's excercise tapes just for fun.

6. Using a half-folded table as a slide.

7. Singing. All the time.

8. Getting told to quit playing with the landing light upstairs because it messed up the picture on the TV downstairs...

9. Playing in the "secret" room underneath the staircase.

10. Jumping on the trampoline... for hours! "Tripper" was our favorite game that we made up. All I really remember about it was that it was dangerous...

I have many fond memories from Nana and Papaw's. 

I'm so thankful for my childhood. It was awesome. :)
