Midterms.

No cute outfits today. It's midterm week.... ugh... I seriously can't believe it's that time already!

Well, after a few (maybe more) hours of hard work and studying I managed to pull all A's on my midterms. Yay! I have to say, I was pretty proud of myself... so I celebrated with a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks.

Mmmm....

It was delicious. <3

On the outfit note, if you scroll down the page a little bit you can find the outfit I wore to school last week. I thought it was pretty cute, but today's weather leaned more toward me dressing in my "almost sweat pants" skirt and Aero polo. Can't say that I looked super fashionable, but I managed to stay warm and comfy all day.

And that worked for me. :)

Hopefully, I can share another outfit post in the near future. I've found some pretty awesome bargains the past couple weekends.

Until then, please enjoy this clip I found about the "evolution of fashion"...

{Love this.}

{Yellow Love}

It's Tuesday, so that means it's my crazy class day. The college I go to has a pretty strict dress code, and I have made it my personal challenge to come up with "approved" outfits out of my thrift and vintage finds. I have to admit... it's pretty fun. ^..^

Here's what I wore today-

Sweater: Old Navy
Button-Up: Thrifted
Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted
Ring: Thrifted

College // Homework

Since I am a full time Early Childhood Education major, I thought it might be interesting to list the projects that I have due just within the next couple of weeks. If I seem a little twitchy the next time you see me, you'll now know why.

Project #1-

A research paper over Walt Disney's influence on family centered entertainment.

Project #2-

A to scale sketch of a kindergarten classroom on either poster board or computer.

Project #3-

A book summary over the book Bringing Up Boys.

Project #4-

A single page paper (single spaced) over the Apostle Paul.

I also have weekly assigned readings, on-the-side homework, choir rehearsal, quizzes, and that's just for school. Did I mention I'm a part-time employee at David's Bridal.... and I'm married?

I'm a little busy.

Oh, and this was also a way for you to keep me accountable. Remember my confession of being a procrastinator? :)

Hitting the books,

P.S- So far I have A's in all of my classes this semester! Yipee!!!

Is looking like a zombie against the rules?

It was back to school for me today, and I have a new goal for this semester... not to go to class looking like I rolled out of bed 10 minutes before I had to leave and put on clothes which were lying beside the bed and may have possibly been slept on by some animal... which is exactly what I did every day last semester. (I'm pretty sure that there were some people at school who were shocked to find out that I had actually found someone to marry me... )

So, today I took some extra time to get myself ready for class. I put a nice skirt on... one that had actually been hung up in the closet... paired it with a cute top and sweater, went to put on my rulebook-demanded pair of hose only to find that I had accidentally thrown away my one good pair.

Panty hose are of the devil. Fact.

Also- Bears. Beats. Battlestar Galactica.

Pardon that interruption... now back to what I was saying...

I then traded my knee-length skirt for one that reached my ankles in an attempt to hide my hoseless legs. I'm pretty sure that this attempt was fruitless because my professor has the superhuman ability to see every infraction of the rulebook.... I will have 10 demerits in my box tomorrow morning. Guaranteed.

So, with all of my bare-legged rebellion aside, I would have to say I managed to look fairly nice for class this afternoon. Yet... after 4 hours of class, a Hotpocket, and 15 pages of notes I managed to leave school looking like some college-aged zombie. It happens every time- the pale skin, sunken eyes, and crazy static-y hair... I had it all.

I believe that this would explain the reason why Adam didn't come rushing to give me a kiss when I got home. He probably thought some monster from one of his video games had escaped and had come to seek revenge...

Anyway, I said all of this to say...  it's going to be a long semester and I think I'm going to get a spray tan tomorrow. I hear they improve your appearance and give you a nice earthy smell.

Anyone care to join me?

Looking kind of haggard,
Your Zombie Friend
